WoW: Raids with affixes - this is how Blizzard wants to keep the raids fresh until 10.0

Whether Tyrannical, Reinforced, Explosive or Bursting - it's hard to imagine WoW without the affixes in the Mythic-Plus dungeons. They keep the dungeons fresh and make the instances feel a little different every week. On top of that, there's the Season Affix, which changes with each new season and is based on the respective setting of the patch. The developers now have something similar in mind for Shadowlands' raids.

Affixes for all Shadowlands raids

With the start of Season 4, all Shadowlands raids will get an affix. The developers have not yet said which affix it will be and how it will work. However, it is already clear that the affix is based on the progenitors, i.e. the current setting.

It's interesting that the developers don't want to limit themselves to the current raid, the Mausoleum of the First. All Shadowlands raids will get the affix - including Castle Nathria and the Sanctum of Domination.
At the same time, the developers want to make all raids of the expansion "relevant" again. Not only will the difficulty level be increased, but also the rewards. The developers still have to figure out exactly how this will happen.

We could imagine that we'll get three small seasons in one. For example, one month Nathria Castle (with slightly better loot than the mausoleum), until then the sanctum is upgraded and again one month later the mausoleum with affix and higher item level starts. So that raiders do not have the agony of choice from three raids, but can "work off" one after the other. But of course this is just speculation and wishful thinking on our part.
