WoW: Patch 9.1 - News about Tazavesh - Itemlevel and Hard Mode

image

Tazavesh will be the first mega dungeon of WoW Shadowlands and will replace Mechagon from Battle for Azeroth in patch 9.1. Now there are a few news from the test server for the upcoming update, which indicate that Tazavesh has more in common with Mechagon than just the size.

Tazavesh will probably get a Hard Mode

Even though the developers haven't officially confirmed it yet: There are definite hints that there will be a special Hard Mode for Tazavesh, just like there was for Mechagon. The latest build for the test server of patch 9.1 includes a quest called "Tazavesh: Seek and Do Not Destroy".

This quest is still incomplete, but gives clear hints of a Hard Mode in the quest text, which reads, "Defeat Zo'phex, Postmaster Pain, the Whispering Tavern Encounter, and the Menagerie Encounter in Hard Mode of Tazavesh, the Shrouded Market." The four bosses mentioned here are the first four bosses of the Tazavesh dungeon - Mechagon's Hard Mode also included four bosses.

Additionally, two spells have appeared on the PTR with the latest build of Patch 9.1 that also provide clear evidence of a Hard Mode: Phase 2 Trigger Hardmode and Phase 3 Trigger Hardmode. While there is no clear reference to Tazavesh, given the other references to the mega dungeon, we assume that there is a direct connection.

Last but not least, in a feedback thread on Tazavesh in the WoW PTR forum (buy now 14,99 € )

, Blizzard made a more or less clear comment on the topic of Hard Mode: WoW developer Zahko answered a player's request for a Hard Mode with a wink.

So we firmly assume that Tazavesh will get a Hard Mode.

Tazavesh loot: No upgrade, but higher item level

But there was more news about the new Mega Dungeon from patch 9.1: The loot from the dungeon can no longer be upgraded with Valor Points in the latest build. Instead, the developers have increased the item level to 226. Previously, the item level was 210, so Tazavesh will initially be of interest to players who want to equip Twinks.
