WoW: Oh no! Strange animation errors with classic protodragon mounts

image

A few weeks ago, there was good news for achievement hunters in World of Warcraft. The WoW team announced in a Bluepost that the achievement "A Tough School" no longer needs to be completed for the meta achievement "A Heart for Children". This removed the biggest hurdle so far to get the title "Patron" and the meta achievement "What a Long, Strange Journey".

Many players were thus allowed to show off their Purple Protodragons for the first time after the event in WoW. However, the joy was quickly dampened. The Protodragon's walking animation seemed strange and buggy to many players. If you currently try out all the Protodragon mounts from your collection on the live server, you'll quickly discover that most of the classic Protodragon mounts are buggy.

Protodragons: Camera bugs and strange walking pace

The old protodragon mounts have a strange animation bug. There are several problems with this, which players have already reported on Reddit and in WoW's official forums after the release of patch 9.2. The first time the bug was noticed was with the Time Lost Protodragon. For example, the bronze dragon no longer flies in the middle of the screen and its walking animation is twice as fast as in the newer protodragon mounts (such as the warrior class mount from WoW: Legion).

The only exceptions are the two protodragon mounts from Ulduar. The rusty protodragon and the iron-clad protodragon - both run at a normal leisurely pace. A WoW player compared the different protodragon mounts and captured the said animation error in a video:

There is another video where a player has discovered a new bug. At /mountspecial, the protodragon slithers forward a bit and moonwalks a few moments later.

Soon we will learn what changes Blizzard is planning for the final raid of WoW: Season of Mastery.

The developers of World of Warcraft (buy now )

have not commented on the bug. It could be a simple bug that they will probably fix with patch 9.2.5. However, some players suspect that Blizzard is currently working on the animations for dragon models in WoW in general and a few graphical bugs have accidentally landed in the game. to the start page Jump to comments (0) Tanja Barth
