WoW Fluff: Even inhabitants of the Shadowlands are not safe from scam mails

The dungeon master unpacks all kinds of nasty tricks he knows in patch 9.1 of WoW Shadowlands. Now his minions are even trying to scam the anima out of Shadowlands residents.

In the Maw, accountant Mmnemis is now dropping off mail. Pelagos is all excited to have mail arrive for him.

Who doesn't know these spam mails from the ancient times of email account creation: A Nigerian prince wants to send you money, but for that you have to transfer him a small amount of money first or click on an ominous link.

Pelagos: "The Winter Queen's cousin needs help? And all you want me to send him is some anima?"

Hopefully Pelagos doesn't fall for this obvious scam. Or maybe the Winter Queen does have a cousin we don't know about yet ... ?

On Korthia, you'll be fooled by the illusions of the Nathrezim even more often in the future, and you'll be doing missions for the dungeon master even though you don't know it thanks to the deceptions of his servants. So watch out the next time you get a strange mail in your inbox.

Don't spend gold on pills that supposedly make your weapon bigger, crafters that polish your armor, and don't send anima to characters if they promise you two anima items in return. RP players should also not fall for characters who have supposedly collected juicy details about them from Gold Grove and send them to your friends if you don't wire the sender the gold.
