WoW: "Blizzard has learned nothing" - fans angry at reputation requirement for dual Legys

How naive we were at the beginning of December last year, thinking "Zereth Mortis can actually be ignored, there's no player power". We don't necessarily mean to imply that the WoW developers had read our article, but the rest of the community was wondering about it as well. And of course it was too good to be true. Because as we recently found out, our second Legendary in patch 9.2 of Shadowlands is not hidden behind the introductory quest of Zereth Mortis, but we have to farm reputation with the new faction The Enlightened Ones.

Well, obviously there is player power in the Zereth Mortis content now. The fact that you have to farm up to the Respectful reputation level for this is pissing off many players in the community. "Less timegating and more ways to get rewards" were actually the conclusions Blizzard drew from patch 9.1.5. This motto was thrown overboard again within one patch. Has Blizzard lost its way? Well, not really like that. They only said that the elaborate cipher system with its many timegating functions will not be tied to player power. The rest - that no other player power will be linked to Zereth Mortis - we and the players have figured out for ourselves ...

In the WoW Reddit forum, there is a lot of criticism about the reputation requirement. Some see this as a clumsy attempt to squeeze another month's subscription out of the player. The question is how much influence the developers had on this decision, and how much a management interested in maximizing profits.

For some, this change alone is the reason not to subscribe to Patch 9.2 in the first place. But we already know how dramatic some players can be on forums. Content creators like Bellular also have no sympathy for tying dual-legendaries to a reputation requirement.

"Why don't you let people get their second Legendary after the introductory quest. It's not really a reward, it's a patch feature," Bellular wrote on Twitter. From a relaxed zone, which is optional, you pull the new area of Patch 9.2 with it directly down.

One takes it with sarcasm

After the developers' announcement "We hear you and we change things," you fell back into the old rut in a flash. Besides the reputation requirement for a simple feature, you have to unlock flying a second time in Shadowlands for the first time in an expansion. This also hides timegating at its finest: two of the four main categories at the consoles of the Ciphers of the First

take 6 days and 18 hours each. And maybe the research time of the other research projects will increase as well.Recommended editorial contentAtthis point you will find external content from [PLATTFORM]. But well, when you put it all in perspective, it doesn't sound so bad anymore. After all, spending two or three months doing dull tasks to get basic features doesn't sound so bad when you consider that we'll be in Zereth Mortis for another 18 months until patch 10.0 of WoW (buy it now )

. At least that's what WoW influencer Slootbag writes with a lot of cynicism on Twitter.

What do you think about the reputation requirement for dual Legendarys and Blizzard's breach of promise? We're looking forward to your opinion in the comments.
