After Wrathstone and Elsweyr, we have now reached the middle of the Year of the Dragon in The Elder Scrolls Online. In the third and fourth quarter of 2019, we now expect two more DLCs, in which the story around the powerful scale creatures will be told out. And thanks to the Bethesda showcase at E3, we now know what the two upcoming updates will be called: Scalebreaker and Dragonhold.
Scalebreaker in this case is the dungeon DLCs for quarter numbero 3, which will take you to the Lunar Tomb Temple City and Hoard of Maarselok dungeons. Zenimax's official preview states:
"These two new challenging dungeons are part of the Season of the Dragon story arc, and will have you and your party facing off against dragons like you faced in Elsweyr. But not everyone wants to destroy the legendary beasts, and the Colossal Halls weren't the only place dragons were locked away."
Then, at the end of 2019, Dragonhold, the finale of the Season of the Dragon, lands on the live servers.
"Dragonhold introduces a whole new area in southern Elsweyr that you can explore. It's called Pellitine - a lawless wasteland that was hit by a deadly plague nearly 20 years ago. There, you'll need to gather allies (including fan favorite Sai Sahan), reform the ancient Dragonguard Order, develop powerful new tools and weapons, and put an end to the dragon threat before it spreads to all of Tamriel."
Since Scalebreaker and Dragonhold are DLCs, you'll be able to either purchase them from the Crown Shop after release or unlock them via ESO Plus. As soon as there are more details about the updates, we will of course keep you posted.
